Sr. Immaculata Knox and Denise Gore – Talking about Back to School

August 10, 2015

Sr Immaculata Knox from the Ascension Catholic Community here in Melbourne joins us to talk about schools, teachers and children. This week all of our children return back to school with the regular challenges that faced us all. Teachers and Administrators have bigger challenges. Find out from these two great guests, Sr. Immaculata Knox and Denise Gore, how the school system has changed, what has stayed the same, and how you can support your children this year in school.

The Sisters of Mercy from Ireland opened our Ascension School.  Sr. Immaculata Knox, currently the Pastoral Care Minister, taught kindergarten for 50 years.  In the first years of the school, they had over 650 students, Sister had over 60 students in her class.  In 1971, Sr. Joseph Barden became the School Principal, a position she still holds.

This show sponsored by Dr. Potomski. Dr. Potomski attended medical school at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine and graduated in 1981 having 34 years experience.
