Good morning. I’m prepping for my radio show today, with two calling guests: Brinda Pamulapati will chat with us about her art studio, creativity, mentorship and more. An art studio is where artists create work, and an art gallery is for displaying the work and promoting artists.

We will also be joined by author Maryann I Chretien, MS, LPC; we will discuss her children’s book series. Our show is heard on AM1510, FM94.7, FM99.9, and FM100.7, as well as online everywhere on WWBC. https://www.1510wwbc.com/https://www.seetamediainc.com/https://www.venviartgallery.com/ “Learn from yesterday, live for today, hope for tomorrow.” ~ Albert Einstein @highlight Viewpoint With Seeta and Friends AM 1510 WWBCSeeta Media, Inc..

MaryAnn Chretien, MS LPC

Maryann is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. She blends psychological insight with imaginative storytelling to inspire meaningful conversations about emotions—creating safe, nurturing spaces where growth and connection can thrive.

Inspired by the stories she once shared with her own children, Maryann created the Adventures in Downy County series—imaginative tales that spark creativity while teaching lessons in friendship, empathy, and communication.

When she’s not exploring the whimsical world of Downy County, Maryann treasures time living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with her husband, three adult children, and three grandchildren.

Unusual shapes and textures paired with pure, vibrant colors are key characteristics of Brinda’s work. The values in color and the emotions they evoke are what inspire Brinda to explore different hues. “I feel the vibrancy in the colors acts like art therapy in elevating one’s mood, giving a festive outlook,” says Brinda. Not only are these shades inspirational, but so is the intentional selection.

Brinda selects colors that aim to shock or surprise the viewer; rather than using expected colors for objects and figures, she chooses shades that deviate from the norm. As the owner and managing director of Venvi Art Gallery, Brinda has the pleasure of curating renowned artists for the gallery’s shows. She’s inspired by her mentor’s work, world renowned artist, Jacob Pichhadze.

There are infinite things to learn from art and I think one cannot master art in one lifetime. An artist’s life is always learning and realizing something new all the time. I love the excitement I experience while thinking about new ideas, compositions, and creating the art.

After earning my baccalaureate and master’s degree in mathematics at Florida State University, I work as a math faculty for online universities. Living in Tallahassee, I have had many opportunities to attend art classes to enhance my art skills. My visit to hone my painting skills at Yazi School of Visual Arts under the supervision of world-renowned artist, Prof. Jacob Pichhadze, was a watershed experience. Since then, I have been pursuing painting seriously.

As a child my father felt it was easier to manage me and keep my engrossed for long periods of time by providing me with paint tubes. Being the youngest of five sisters, I had exposure to drawing from my sister;s science record books and casual drawings.

My mother’s traditional drawings were a big fascination. During my early school years (Seetha Kingston, Chennai, India from grades 1 through 10) the teachers encouraged art and students and teachers alike considered me the artist of the school. The consistent success in art competitions for 10 consecutive years fanned my passion for art and painting. I have created painting for local cultural programs and sold my paintings at charity shows.
