Maryann Chretin
Maryann is a compassionate Licensed Professional Counselor with over 20 years of experience supporting children, youth, and families. She blends psychological insight with imaginative storytelling to inspire meaningful conversations about emotions—creating safe, nurturing spaces where growth and connection can thrive.
Inspired by the stories she once shared with her own children, Maryann created the Adventures in Downy County series—imaginative tales that spark creativity while teaching lessons in friendship, empathy, and communication.
When she’s not exploring the whimsical world of Downy County, Maryann treasures time living in the Outer Banks of North Carolina with her husband, three adult children, and three grandchildren.
Supervisor of Elections Tim Bobanic
Tim Bobanic was appointed as the Brevard County Supervisor of Elections by Governor Ron DeSantis on October 1, 2022 and was subsequently elected to serve the voters of Brevard County as Supervisor of Elections in 2024. Tim served as the Director of Information Technology and Election Services for almost 10 years prior to his appointment. Previously, he served for 4 years as the Director of Information Technology for the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.
Tim is a Master Florida Certified Election Professional who has overseen 37 elections throughout his 18-year career in elections. During Florida’s first statewide recount since 2000, in 2018, Tim oversaw the recounting of over 284,000 ballots. Not only did Brevard complete all four recounts within the statutory deadline, but it was also recognized as the only county of the 20 largest counties in Florida whose recount ballot totals matched perfectly with the original ballot totals.
Supervisor Bobanic is a member of the Florida Supervisors of Elections (FSE) where he serves on the Executive Committee as Treasurer. He also serves as the Chair of the Budget Finance Committee, the Vice Chair of the Administrative Rules Committee, and is a member of the Education, Cybersecurity, and Legislative Committees. His institutional knowledge and commitment to public service prepared him to be the Supervisor of Elections for the 10th largest voting population in the State of Florida.
He is a lifelong Floridian, who attended the University of South Florida where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems. Tim has been married for 27 years, and they are the proud parents of a son who has graduated from the University of South Florida.
